How do I enable logging if asked by support?

If asked by customer support to send us a log, do the following:

  • Open Serial
  • Hold down the "option" key while clicking on the "Help" menu
  • Select the "Enable Logging" option (if currently unchecked)
  • Repeat the actions that didn't work properly so they are captured in the log
  • Hold down the "option" key while clicking on the "Help" menu (again)
  • Select the "Reveal Logs in Finder" option
  • Attach the log file(s) to an e-mail and send them to us

Make sure the device you are having trouble with is attached to your machine while logging is enabled.
